Drew W. Fallis, DDS, MS, MHPE

Dr. Drew Fallis

Dr. Drew W. Fallis is the Executive Dean of the Postgraduate Dental College.  Prior to serving as Executive Dean, Dr. Fallis was the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs for the Postgraduate Dental College. He also holds an appointment as Professor of Orthodontics within the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School (AFPDS), USU.  Dr. Fallis retired from the Air Force in the rank of Colonel after 29 years of active service.  During that time, he served as Dean, Graduate Dental Education, 59th Dental Group, 59th Medical Wing, Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas and Dean, AFPDS, USU.  Additionally, he served as Chief, Dental Training Division, Air Force Medical Operations Agency Dental Directorate and as Military Consultant to the Air Force Surgeon General for Graduate and Continuing Dental Education.
Dr. Fallis is originally from San Antonio, Texas.  He completed his dental degree at the Oklahoma University College of Dentistry in 1988, and then earned a certificate and Master's degree in Orthodontics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1999. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2005 and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists in 2013.  He is a Member of the Midwest Angle Orthodontic Society, a Clinical Board Examiner for the American Board of Orthodontics, and has served as a Site-visitor for the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation. In past assignments he served as a Chairman and Program Director for the Tri-service Orthodontic Residency Program at JBSA- Lackland and as a Military Consultant in Orthodontics to the Air Force Surgeon General, as well as Orthodontic Flight Commander for the 59th Dental Group.  Upon his retirement from active duty in 2018, he was awarded the Legion of Merit and the USU Exceptional Service Award.  

 

ASSOCIATE DEAN OF DENTAL RESEARCH

Rodney D. Phoenix, DDS, MS

Rodney Phoenix

Dr. Phoenix retired from the Air Force in the rank of Colonel following 23 years of active service and 11 years in the Air Force Reserve. During his tenure in the Air Force, Dr. Phoenix served as Chairman of the Department of Prosthodontics and Program Director at the Air Force Graduate Prosthodontics Residency Program. He also served as Military Consultant for Prosthodontics to the Assistant Surgeon General for Dental Services.  In addition to being Associate Dean at the PDC, he also currently serves as Professor of Prosthodontics within the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School at USU.

 

 

ASSOCIATE DEAN FOR FACULTY AFFAIRS

Jay Graver, DMD, MS

Jay Graver

Dr. Graver retired from the Air Force in the rank of Colonel following over 29 years of active service. During his tenure in the Air Force, he served as the Defense Health Agency Chief Dental Officer, the Dean of the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School, the Air Force Surgeon General’s Military Consultant for Graduate and Continuing Dental Education, the Air Force Medical Operations Agency Director of Dental Operations, the Air Force Surgeon General’s Military Consultant for Dentistry and has commanded at the flight, squadron and group levels.

In addition to being Associate Dean at the PDC, Dr. Graver also currently serves as Associate Professor of Prosthodontics within the Air Force Postgraduate Dental School at USU.  He completed his dental degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1986, and earned his Prosthodontic Certificate from the Wilford Hall Medical Center and Masters of Science Degree in Prosthodontics from the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio in 2001.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists. Upon retirement he was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal, his awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit with two oak leaf clusters and the USU Exceptional Service Award.
